What the latest release includes
The latest BrewPulse release finds Homebrew, shows your package count and available updates, and lets you update one package or all of them. You see the exact command first, and BrewPulse keeps Homebrew's output afterward. App updates also wait for your approval.
Users on 0.1.0 Beta 3 or the affected 0.2.0 build need one final manual download before in-app updates can take over.
Verify the download
Download the DMG and matching checksum into the same folder. In Terminal, run the command for your Mac:
Open the latest release to find the checksumOpen the latest release to find the checksumContinue only if the result says OK. The checksum confirms that the disk image matches the GitHub release. It does not replace Apple signing or notarization.
Install the latest release
- 1
Open the verified DMG and drag
BrewPulse.appto Applications. - 2
Try to open BrewPulse. macOS will block it.
- 3
Open System Settings, choose Privacy & Security, then select Open Anyway for BrewPulse.
- 4
Open BrewPulse again and confirm the warning.
Remove BrewPulse
Turn off launch at login, quit BrewPulse, and move the app from Applications to Trash.
BrewPulse does not install a privileged helper, daemon, browser extension, or kernel extension. Removing it leaves Homebrew and its packages alone.
Build from source
If you'd rather build it yourself, you can use Xcode to make the latest development version.
